Valentines Day

Valentine's day, a day for eager young boys and adult men to prove to their significant others or crushes that they are in their hearts and minds. Though some might say that Valentine's day is just a "Hallmark" holiday for people to spend money for the producers pleasure. And you know what I say to those people. I say who cares about spending money. I will shower my girlfriend with everything to see a smile on her face. So if it is a 100 dollar necklace she wants, then she will get the necklace. That girl is my world, and I will don anything for her.

advertisements

I believe that the first advertisement is intended for non iPhone users, they are making it seem like the iPhone is the best phone ever. They throw that stat out about hoe 99% of iPhone users love their iPhone. another remark the narrator makes, he says " if it's not an iPhone, it isn't a iPhone". He is obviously trying to persuade the viewer in thinking that they need an iPhone, and not the other brand they currently have.

The next advertisement about the hand motion TV, is obviously directed toward men. The commercial deals with a hot girl and all these men thinking that she is waving at them. Of course men would be the target market for this, since men are usually the ones that but the TV.

The third advertisement deals with  people who want to buy cars. But it also has a has a hidden meaning I think that deals with the little boy in the advertisement. I think the motor company is trying to hint that their cars make you feel like you are a kid again.

I think we should be aware of the intended audience, due to bias thinking. Like the iPhone commercial for instance. They projected that the iPhone is the greatest thing in the world! But that is one opinions. I know that my roommate cant stand iPhone's, and has a Samsung galaxy instead.

My first close enounter with death

A very vivid memory I have is the time I nearly choked to death from a Caramel cube. It was a normal routine visit to the chiropractor. My family and I have been going to the same one ever since I can remember. Dr. Tutle( The Chiropractor) was always nice to talk to when we went to our regular visits. He'd always ask my brother's and me how school was going, or how sports were going. I always felt safe there, even though what Dr. Tutle was doing was fixing our backs and necks, and they always made loud popping noises. We got done with our normal visit. Usually when my mom was going to pay they would have stickers that they would give younger kids. They also had a little basket of candy like mints or caramel squares that you could take on your way out. My mom took a caramel square, so of course I took one as well. I took the piece of candy out of the wrapping paper and popped the candy in my mouth. It was hard like a mint so you had to suck on it. I being a child at the time wanted to eat it right away, so I was kind of chewing on it, which was a horrible idea. I chewed on it too hard and swallowed the candy, only problem is my throat was too small to have the thing go right down. I began to choke and the candy. It was like time slowed down, I just felt like that moment lasted a lifetime. Some crazy miracle, Dr. Tutle saw me choking or heard that I was, because I swing my head toward the door to the building and I see him rushing over to me with a cup of water in his hand. He handed me the water and I downed the cup of water like I have been stranded in the middle of the desert for days. Thankfully it helped the candy go down my throat, and all was fine. all that was left were two relieved parents, and one crying child. This was honestly my first encounter with death. Flash forward 12 years, to my freshmen year. My friend and I were going to his house to hang out and play videogames. We had just left a team meal for the wrestling team, which our parents ran that night. It had been raining and the roads were a little slippery. On our way back to his house, his truck got out of control and slipped into the other lane. He had to correct or else we would've hit a car head on. When he did that, it made the truck go into a spinning frenzy and he had lost all of control of the car. The one thing that stopped the car was a tree on the side of the road. Long story short no one was hurt, except the truck of course. The crazy thing was that if the truck hit tree a little more toward the front of it, my friend could've easily been extremely hurt or worse. The point for these stories were to kind of show one of the greatest lessons I have been taught. And it is that life is too short, anything could happen to make it end in a blink of an eye. So cherish it.

Football

Football has changed my life forever. It molded me from young boy that I once was to the young man I am now, Football is a very competitive sport, and demands complete focus. It can be broke with all the injuries that are possible, along with concussions which is known not just for ending careers, but ending lives. I put up with all the demand for an outcome that weighs a bigger reward. Even if I don't win a trophy or ring, I know that in my mind l am a champion

Five items

As I awake from my slumber, I realize, I'm in a jail cell. Most of my night is groggy. I reach in one of my pockets and I find five random items, that might help me remember. The first item are car keys to a 2015 ford mustang. Then it comes to me, I got arrested for breaking into a ford dealership for stealing the mustang. The next item I found in my pocket were a pack of peanuts. I was puzzled until I recognized the rapping. It was to the local zoo. I must have wanted to feed some elephants and swim with penguins I guess. the next thing I dug out of my pocket was a dollar bill. But this wasn't just any dollar bill. It was signed by the rapper Drake. The dollar said " To my main man Wyatt, happy 21st birthday. The it hit me. I went to the Drake concert last night. The next time was a note, in girl hand writing this time. It had a number on it with a heart and  note that said call me. I remembered meeting a girl named Sarah last night. Should I call her? The last item was a shot glass. It said birthday boy on it. I finally had the piece to put the whole puzzle together. What a crazy 21st birthday.
